Update:Review Sessions :)
written on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 @ 4:53 AM ∞ 0 candies

We spent this week reviewing for the UPCAT. My schedule will be on August 1, 6:30 AM in Diliman. Early much? Well, there were really no other options to choose from... Anyway, This topic made me remember our review days. aww.. I really missed reviewing so much. I never thought I would but what do you know, here I am rambling about it... :)

Reviewing in Noveletta was a blast. I never really commuted much but now I finally dared to go out more often!-an advantage brought about by the review sessions.

I want to spend this time by writing about our beloved lecturers but I can't seem to remember their names properly. Maybe I'll just type their subjects. The first major subject we took on was Science so here it goes.

General Science
I totally had brain hemorrhage, no kidding. Sometimes our lecturer would throw in a joke or two but those were not enough to keep my eyelids from drooping. *sigh* I survived the subject with some disappointing scores. It's a good thing our lecturer's kindness overpowered our disappointments. I forgot his name, I'll ask my classmates tomorrow. Ü

Chemistry
Sir Ronald is the best! He was so hilarious so I didn't feel sleepy throughout the entire 5 hours. Plus, he's teaching chem, one of my better subjects. :)
Quote:

"During Chemistry class:
Sir Ron: “May kilala akong nilunok niya yung suka niya habang nasa bus.”
Students: “YYYUUUUUUCCCCCK!”
Sir Ron: “Kadiri lumunok ng suka? Mas kadiri pag nilunok ko ang suka mo!” (Hindi ako makapaniwalang naririnig ko ito. haha)" -quoted from a TIC

He has 3 vocal ranges when he says the word "Question. I mean just imagine this.. Questions?[high intonation], Questions [another high intonation], Questions [low intonation]

He uses an imitation of british accent at times which doesn't fail to give as a laugh or two. He also taught us in Math and He was our lecturer and proctor for our last review.

Biology
Sir Jared was also one of the bests. He is so articulate! :] well, I think he was already a doctor when he became our lecturer. He shares experiences and when he throws in jokes, mabenta xiempre

On relationships:
“I’d rather be single than poor.” ( I agree!)
While he was discussing DNA and then he saw two male students who were checking out each other’s fingerprints:
“Hindi maganda ang two adolescent boys na naghoholding hands, disturbing!”

Lol! :]

Physics
Well, our teacher was Sir Andy, if I'm not mistaken. He offers love advices [haha] during lessons. What i mean is, he applies the concepts of physics on relationships. [if only physics wasn't so damn hard. *sniff*]

Our Math teachers on the contrary were not that memorable. Sorry. Though I seemed to like Logic [it is confusing and humorous at times] and Math during rare times when my brain became permeable to numbers.

“Ex. If Sam is a straight guy
Then Sam and Anne should be together
Sam and Anne are not together.
——————————————————–
Therefore, Sam is not a straight guy” ( logical nga!)

I so love logic during those times.

Naka2nosebleed ang mga teachers sa english.

Ms. Gerlie loves saying the phrase "interesting right?" and she gives more of her attention to saying things about the "idiosyncrasy" of the language. Can't help it. I love her diction though, plus she smiles a lot.

Ms. Sol uses a lot of visual aids. [wow] She discusses a lot too, but well, what can I say, English teachers are garrulous in english. :]

I can't type anymore.
I just typed this so I can retain some of my memory. ^^

well, watever. point is, I enjoyed reviewing. [For once]
